Glenn Stambaugh Jr.

Glenn Troy Stambaugh, Jr. 69, of Amarillo died Monday, September 17, 2012 in Dalhart. Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Monday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Dick Marcear, pastor of the Church of Christ at the Colonies officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Stambaugh was born in a log cabin in West Virginia. He was raised in Colorado. After moving to Amarillo, Mr. Stambaugh worked in the advertising department at the Amarillo Globe News for many years. After retiring from the Amarillo Globe News, he worked for Greenleaf Wholesale Florist as a delivery driver. He was considered a model employee at Greenleaf. He was dearly loved by his co-workers and thought of them as family. Mr. Stambaugh was a loving father and friend. He enjoyed going back to Colorado, where he loved to fish and spend time with his family. He was a long time member of Central Church of Christ. Mr. Stambaugh is survived by his daughter, Deborah Stambaugh of Pearland; 1 son, Richard Glenn Stambaugh of Pearland; and 3 brothers, David Stambaugh of Hawaii, Robert Stambaugh and Randall Stambaugh both of Colorado. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch and Girls Town.
