Glyndel June Underwood

Glyndel June Underwood 81, of Amarillo died Monday, June 11, 2018 in Amarillo. Private family services will be at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Glyndel was born on March 16, 1937 in Madill, OK. She attended high school in Hollis, OK and moved to Amarillo in the 1960's. Glyndel married her high school sweetheart, William "Bill" Underwood on November 14, 1953. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Glyndel worked as a bookkeeper for Skaggs-Albertsons for many years. She loved traveling, playing games and spending time with her family. She was dearly loved by many and will be missed. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Zearl and Jimmy Knight, her sister, Cutie Boatwright and a grandson Stefan Miller. Glyndel is survived by her husband, Bill; two daughters, Shelley White and her husband Joel and Sharon Elam and her husband Marvin, all of Amarillo; one son Kevin Underwood of Amarillo; two granddaughters, Anastasia Johnson and her fianc John Blanda and Crystal Kelley and her husband Don; five great-grandchildren, Lainey, Drake, Skyla, Don and Cole; and two sisters Loretta Stratton and Linda Davis.
