Guadalupe Galvan Lupe Castillo 93, of Amarillo died Thursday, December 3, 2015 in Amarillo. Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM Friday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Gomez, celebrant officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Castillo was born on December 31, 1921 in the St. Francis Community east of Amarillo. She was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. She assisted many priests of the parish with opening and closing the church as well as keeping the altar supplied with wine and hosts. She was a dedicated member of the church. Mrs. Castillo was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed helping others in any way she could. She was preceded in death by her husband John Castillo and a daughter Mary Nena Fajardo. She is survived by 3 sons, John Castillo and his wife Mary, Frank Castillo and Tony Castillo and his wife Lydia all of Amarillo; 1 daughter, Christina Castillo of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
