Hassel Junior ""HJ"" Pratt 78 of Amarillo, died Friday June 17, 2005 in Amarillo Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel with Msgr. Joseph Tash of Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel. Mr. Pratt was born in Blakney on March 26, 1927 to Walter and Perley Pratt. He was a resident of Amarillo for 53 years. Mr. Pratt owned and operated Pratt Plumbing from 1964 until his retirement in March of 2001. He married Ernestine Tackett on July 19, 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leo Pratt. Survivors include: his wife of the home, 2 daughters; Norma Meyer and her husband Steve and Patricia Hans and her husband Gary, all of Amarillo, 1 sister; Lucille Turk of Childress, 1 brother; James Pratt of Blossom, 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Memorial donations may be made to the BSA Hospice or Ware Memorial Care Center.
