Henry 'Kunty' Flores

Henry Kunty Flores 65, of Amarillo died Thursday, January 9, 2014 in Amarillo Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM Sunday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 2:00 PM Monday at St. Laurence Catholic Church with Fr. Ignacio Candelas officiating. Burial will be at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Kunty was born on August 18, 1948 in Midland. He moved to Amarillo in 1965. He worked for the City of Amarillo Street Department for many years. He was a dedicated and faithful employee. Kunty loved watching all types of sports. He was a very loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Kunty also enjoyed donating to those in need, especially the Salvation Army and the Empty Stocking Fund. He married the love of his life Isabel on March 31, 1967 in Amarillo. He is survived by his wife Isabel, 1 daughter, Veronica Flores Serrao and her husband Andrew of Long Beach, NY; 1 son, Abel Flores and his wife Shelly of Amarillo; his mother, Pilar Hull of Midland; 4 sisters, Socorro Terrazas, Linda Leal and Alma Montez all of Midland and Elva Perry of Alamogordo, NM; 2 brothers, Freddy Flores and Pete Flores both of Midland and 1 granddaughter, Cheyenne Flores of Amarillo. The family suggests memorial donations be to the Salvation Army 1211 E. 27th St. Amarillo, Texas 79103.
