Herlinda Solis Santos

Herlinda Solis Santos 68, of Amarillo died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Father Haider Quintero of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Herlinda was born in Canatlan, Durango, Mexico. She lived in San Diego and Chicago before moving to Amarillo in 1985. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed taking care of children. Herlinda was an excellent wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She never complained and never quit. She was very caring and loved giving to others that were less fortunate than herself. She married Maximo Santos in 1979 in Mexico. Survivors include her husband, Maximo; two daughters, Herlinda S. Lee and her husband Billy G., and Sara O. Santos all of Amarillo; two sisters, Josefina Solis of Kenansville, NC and Lorena Solis of Durango, MX; one brother, Manuel Solis of Chicago, Ill; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
