Homer W. Dixon

Homer W. Dixon 89, of Amarillo died Friday May 9, 2003 at Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Monday at Llano Cemetery with Terry Sparks pastor of Community of Grace United Methodist Church and Clyde Gene Quick, cousin and Assembly of God minister. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Dixon was born in Alma, OK. He moved to Gainesville in 1951 from County Line, OK. He worked as a welder for the Texas Dept of Transportation for 15 years retiring in 1975. He married Laverne Schuler in 1947 at Velma, OK. She died in 1989. Survivors include a daughter, Dale Martin and her husband Nathan ""N.C."" Martin of Amarillo 4 grandchildren, Nathan Christopher Martin, Laura Ann Drust, Lewis Cane MArtin and Julia Lynn Padilla all of Amarillo and 1 great-grandson, Nathan Martin Padilla of Amarillo. The family requests memorial donations be to Crown of Texas Hospice 1000 S. Jefferson Amarillo, Texas 79101
