Homer Hill 79 of Amarillo died Sunday October 7, 2007 at Amarillo. Funeral Service will be at 11:30 AM Thursday October 11, 2007 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with the Palo Duro Masonic Lodge #1239 and Flag Detail provided by DAV Chapter 26. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, Osage Chapel, 2800 South Osage St., Amarillo TX. Mr. Hill was born in Paducah on September 26, 1928 to Robert Roy Hill and Carey Mae Simkins. Mr. Hill attended Paducah schools, and at the age of 16 he left school and worked for various ranches. He enlisted in the Army in May 1948 and served four years in the Signal Corps. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and past Master Mason of Tascosa Lodge #1375. After being discharged from the Army, he worked for various freight companies and retired from Red Ball Motor Freight after 23 years of over the road driving. Mr. Hill worked for a security company until becoming a licensed realtor. Survivors include: a daughter, Karol Tenorio and her husband Gabriel of Amarillo; three sons, Joel Hill and his wife Betty of Clovis California; Robert Hill and his wife Kelley of Amarillo; and Charles Hill and his wife Karen of Iraq; two sisters, Kathy Stanley and Jean Tagget both of Amarillo; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The body will not be available for viewing.
