Hoyle Tyler

Hoyle Tyler 79, of Amarillo, died Thursday, January 12, 2012 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Tyler was born in Rudy, Ark. He was raised in Lamesa. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He received the Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged in 1953. Mr. Tyler worked as a welder for many years. He moved to Amarillo in 2010 from Longview. He was a member of Comanche Trail Church of Christ. He married Wynell Perrin on January 15, 2011. Mr. Tyler is survived by his wife, Wynell; 1 sister, Phyllis Ford of New Braunfels; 2 step-daughters, Becky Killen of Amarillo and Debbie Moore of San Antonio; 2 step-sons, Michael Perrin of Midland and Melvin Perrin of Alva, Okla; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorial donation be made to: Olivia's Angels in care of BSA Hospice or a favorite charity.
