Hulen Swaim, 78, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010 in Amarillo, Texas. Services will be at 11:00 A.M.; Saturday October 16, at Lifeway Fellowship Church, 3315 Hancock with Rev. Randy Davis officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Hulen was born in Hollis, Oklahoma, December 17, 1931 to John and Ada Swaim. He was the youngest of six siblings. He married Shirley Pittman, his loving wife of 55 years on May 21, 1955, in Hollis, Oklahoma and later moved to Amarillo, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Survivors include his loving wife, Shirley, sons Mike Swaim and wife Sharon of Houston, Texas and Mark Swaim and wife Regina, of Amarillo. Two Brothers, Marvin Swaim of Oklahoma, Irvin Swaim of California and one sister, Catheryn Covey of Amarillo. Five grandchildren Alicia Smith and husband Copen, Chris Froneman and husband Johan, Cindy Nelson and husband Buck all of Amarillo. Matthew Swaim of Houston and Joshua Swaim and wife Heather of Oklahoma. Six great grandchildren Rolan,Remi, Gage, Wes, Brady and Gracie. Hulen was a loving husband, father, brother and Pe paw. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's and his great grand-children's sporting events, birthday's, graduations and especially their yearly family fishing trip to Lake Texhoma. He was a long-time member of the Amarillo Bird Dog Club and enjoyed raising Bird Dogs of his own. He will be truly missed by his loving wife, family and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, 5-7 PM at Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage, Amarillo.
