Ila Abbott Wilson

Ila Abbott Wilson 96 of Amarillo died Friday March 7, 2003. Private family burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Monday in the Chapel of First Baptist Church with Dr. Howard Batson, pastor officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Wilson was born June 22, 1906 at Childress to Daniel and Lula Abbott. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church where she attended the Adult 8, Friendship Class. In her younger years, she taught Sunday School in the Childrens Dept., and also sang in the Sanctuary Choir and later in the Heritage Choir. She married Lee A. Wilson in 1926 at McLean. He died in 1967. Survivors include: 2 daughters; Nancy Mays and her husband Jim and Jane Johnson and her husband Walt all of Amarillo, 1 sister; Lola Stockton of Pryor, OK., 3 grandchildren, Melody Witherspoon and Jim Ann Rasco both of Amarillo and Daniel mays of Wilmer and 3 great-grandchildren The family requests memorial donations be to Olivias Angels c/o BSA Hospice.
