Imo Gene Mccarty

Imo Gene ""Mom"" McCarty, 72, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2007 in Amarillo. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, January 15, 2007 at 3:00 PM at St. Stephens Methodist Church, West Campus, with Pastor Rusty Sieck of St. Stephens Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, Osage Chapel, 2800 South Osage St. Mrs. McCarty married Bobby McCarty on March 10, 1949 in Panhandle. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2006. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include a daughter, Kerry Wilhite and husband Jack of Amarillo; two sons, Dickie McCarty and wife Jan and Brent McCarty, all of Amarillo; a sister Molly Ruth Martin of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, Bobby McCarty and wife Delta of Laurel, Miss., Jerry Wilhite and wife Stephanie of Laramie, Wyo., Brandon Kinard and wife Lindsey of Amarillo, Bandy McCarty and wife Lacy of Amarillo; Sasha Connolly and husband Mark of Amarillo, Wes Wilhite of Amarillo and Amanda McCarty of Amarillo; and 11 great-grandchildren. The family will be at 7109 Vinewood.
