Imogene Welch

Imogene Welch, 93, of Amarillo passed away on December 22, 2022. Memorial service is 10 Monday, January 2 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel officiated by Associate pastor James Griffin with Temple Baptist Church. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Imogene was born in Childress on June 15, 1929, to Robert and Verna Williams. She was kind, loving, and a sweet-hearted person. She was a loving mother-in-law, and grandmother and really enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Imogene loved when her grandchildren came and stayed the night. She married the love of her life, Joe Doyle Welch in 1945. He preceded her in 2008. Imogene loved to read. She enjoyed romance books. She also enjoyed going fishing with her husband, Joe Welch. Although she read most of the time, she really enjoyed it. Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Welch, two sons; Robert and Roy Welch, two brothers; Robert Williams and his wife Wanda, and Barney Williams and his wife Hollis, one sister Martha Louise Williams. Those left to carry her legacy are her grandchildren; Jo Jean Welch, Shawn Welch, Jay Welch, Brandon Welch, and Caitlin Welch, Daughter-in-law, Doris Welch, one Brother, Henry Williams, and one sister, Virginia Williams Shell.
