Ira Earl Mcmillen

Ira Earl ""Bill"" McMillen, 86, of Amarillo died Monday, October 24, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., with the Rev. Jerry Thomas of North Beacon Church of the Nazarene,officiating. Mr. McMillen was born Feb. 14, 1919 in Grovespring, Mo., to John and Sarah McMillen. He moved to Oologah, Okla., in 1930 where he grew up. He moved to Amarillo in 1938, where he married Emma Richardson. He served in the Navy as an aircraft mechanic. He ritired from Borden after 40 years of service in 1982. Survivors include three sons, Earl Lee McMillen and wife, Faye, Carl Allen McMillen and wife, Brenda, and Billy Raymond McMillen, of the home; a step-daughter, Yvonne Richardson of Groesbeck; two sisters, Jean Woods of Pawnee, Okla., and Ruby Willhite of Oologah, seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
