Irmgard Erna Meraz

Irmgard Erna Meraz, 86, of Amarillo passed away peacefully on May 5, 2023. Irmgard will lie in state on Tuesday (05/09) and Wednesday (05/10) from 8am to 4pm for open viewing at Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 10am in Llano Cemetery with Pastor Glen Stocker of Bible Believers Church presiding. Irmgard was born on March 14, 1937 in Berlin, Germany to Heinrich and Helene (Milz) Gleich. She was a member of Bible Believers Church of Amarillo, Texas. Irmgard is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Carl Raymond Bock, second husband Jesus Morin Meraz, daughter Dorothy Beatrice Bock, brother Eberhard Gleich, sister Sigrid Gleich; and two infant brothers. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter Barbara Griggs, sons Frank, Garry, and James Bock, sisters Monika and Sonya, and brothers Martin and Michael; as well as five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
