Iva 'Nell' Cherry

Iva Nell Cherry, age 80, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Nell was born August 6th, 1942, in Littlefield, Texas to Nova Pearl and Andrew Jackson Chandler. A celebration of Nell's life will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at 10:30 am at Pinnacle Community Church, 7305 S. Coulter St. in Amarillo with Pastor Kurt Oheim presiding. Nell loved God and her family with a passion, and she had unwavering faith in both. You would find her drinking coffee and chatting with her husband and best friend Alvin laughing all the way! She enjoyed all of their adventures on their Gold Wing Motorcycle that often took them to square dancing! At home, she made the whole neighborhood more beautiful with flowers and the prettiest lawn on the block! Nell loved animals, but her favorite were her dogs Chelsea, Abby, Mikey, and Jaques and her cat Dusty. Nell was proceded in death by her mother Nova Pearl Chandler, father Andrew Jackson Chandler, sister Anita Pearl Chandler and Lucy Maudene Devenney and brother Jackie Lynn Chandler. Left on earth to carry her legacy are son Garland Cross and wife Karen. Her daughter Pam Rogers and husband Don. Bonus sons Terry Cherry and Jerry Cherry and his wife Nancy. Bonus daughter Cheri Craft and husband Glenn; 12 Grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
