'J' Rector

""J"" Rector 63, of Amarillo went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday May 13, 2011. Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday at Washington Avenue Christian Church with Jim Shelburne, pastor and Bob Miller pastor of South Georgia Baptist Church. Burial will be at 2:00 PM at Mobeetie Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas ""J"" was born in San Francisco. She was raised in Palo Alto CA. ""J"" moved to Amarillo in 1972. She attended Amarillo College. ""J"" also worked for the Amarillo Police Department for several years before beginning her career as a Registered Medical Assistant. She worked for several doctors in Amarillo. She also owned her own medical transcriptionist. She married Jerry Rector on February 26, 1993 in Las Vegas, NV. ""J"" enjoyed spending time with her husband and friends as well as riding motorcycles all over the United States. ""J"" loved her family and enjoyed crocheting afghans for everyone in her family. ""J"" was full of life and was a great friend to all who knew her. She left to cherish her memories, her husband of Amarillo, 3 daughters, Shari Olsen of Granite Falls, MN, Dawn Anderson of Pampa and Chrissy Bell of Amarillo, 1 son Charles Olsen, USMC Ret., of Union KY, 5 sisters, Barbara Kokalis of Monte Rio, CA, Sandi Couch of Santa Clara, CA, Linda Piccone Grigsby, of Los Altos, CA, Vicki Flagel of Union City, CA and Debi Piccone Breaux of Palo Alto, CA, 1 brother, Edward C. Piccone, JR. of Roseville, CA, her mother, Sydell Piccone of Cuppertino, CA, 1 step-daughter, Amy Garcia, 3 step-sons, Lynn Rector and Rance Rector both of Amarillo and MSGT Steve Rector of Lexington, SC. She is also survived by several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM - 6:30PM Sunday at the funeral home.
