Jack Ronald Abernathy

Jack Ronald Abernathy, 57 of Amarillo died Sunday March 9, 2003. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth with Father James Hart of St. Peter the Apostle Church officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Abernathy was born in Dallas. He moved to Amarillo in 1984 from Fort Worth. He worked as a truck driver for Merchants Motor-lines for 30 years. He was a Catholic. Survivors include: 2 daughters; Margaret Camille Jackson of Woonsocket, RI and Angela Mae Miller of Attleboro, Mass, 2 sons; Herbert Wayne Abernathy of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Donald Glen Abernathy of Pepperell, Mass., and his parents Jack and Mae Abernathy of Fort Worth and 11 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be to the Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson Amarillo, TX 79101 or a favorite charity.
