We lost our beloved and adored father and grandfather, Jackie Peak, on Friday September 1st, 2017. He was born in Amarillo on January 30th,1936 to William and Amo Peak. He graduated from both Amarillo High and Amarillo College. After high school, he married the love of his life, Audrey Glover. Jackie then went on to register for the Army and served his country for the next few years. Jackie and Audrey had two children, Toby Peak and Vicki Moore. They also have two grandchildren, Destiny Brown and Amber Jolley. Between the two granddaughters, they also have 3 great-grandchildren. Jackie retired in 1996 from Pantex as a Training Specialist. He was preceded in death by his wife Audrey in 2006. Jackie was a hard worker, who made sure his family was always taken care of. He was a man of many stories and loved to tell you about them and his experiences. Half of the story was his words, and the other half was his animations. It was hard not to smile while he told you the same story you have heard at every Christmas gathering. It became part of the holiday traditions, just as you would have certain meals or desserts. You could count on him to tell his stories and it never got old. Some of Jackies passions was golfing, hunting, fishing, and growing early girl tomatoes every summer. Nothing beat his tomatoes, all they needed were some salt and pepper. He loved going to Red River every summer and getting in some rainbow trout fishing and porch sitting with a cup of coffee. Jackies departure has left gaping hole in the family and he will most certainly be missed. We take comfort in knowing that he is back with Audrey in heaven and is no longer in pain.
