James Clay Sr.

James Clay Sr., 76 of Amarillo died July 9, 2021, in the comfort of his home. No services are Scheduled. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. James was born in Amarillo on June 5, 1945, to Etha and George Clay. He spent his life here in Amarillo. He married the love of his life, Janie Clay on August 16, 1964, in Amarillo. They were married for 56 years until her passing in 2017. He was a dedicated family man. James coached some of the sporting events for his son. James was preceded in death by his parents, His wife, and his brother, Weldon Ray Clay. He is survived by his Son, James Clay Jr. three granddaughters; Kaytie Clay, Rebecca, and Victoria Basa, one grandson, Mathew Clay, and one sister, Betty Pearson.
