James Neil Davis

James Neil ""Jim"" Davis 54 of Amarillo died Monday March 5, 2007 at his home. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel with Donna Johnston of BSA Hospice officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel 8310 S. Coulter Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Davis was born in Amarillo. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1970. After High School he worked for the Rock Island Railroad until their closure. He also worked for Santa Fe Railway. In 1984 he began working at Pantex. At the time of his death he was working as the section manager in shipping and receiving. Mr. Davis loved bowling and playing golf. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He married Jannell Davis in 1972 at Amarillo. Survivors include: his wife, 2 daughters; Amy Michelle Davis and Lisa Marie Davis both of Amarillo, 2 sisters; Beverly Ballard and Carolyn McCarty both of Dallas, 3 brothers; Ernie Davis, Mike Davis and Phil Davis all of Amarillo, his mother; Maxine Davis of Amarillo and his granddaughter; Hallie Davis of Amarillo.
