James M Hanson

James M. Hanson, 61, of Amarillo died Friday, January 31, 2014 in Amarillo. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Gil Hiltbrunner of Jeremiah 33:3 Ministries officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. James was born in Columbus, GA to William and Anna Hanson on March 24, 1952. He later moved to Amarillo where he graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1971. James Retired from ASARCO after working there for more than 20 years. James loved his family and was always there when they needed him. He loved spending time and playing video games with his grandson. He also enjoyed playing football and softball. James is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Rick Hanson, and a sister Diane Knierim. He is survived by one daughter, Lesley Hanson of Amarillo; one son, Miachel Hanson of Salt Lake City, UT. Two sisters Jeanie Henson of Fritch, and Ellen Dixon on Atlanta. A brother Frank Hanson of Arlington. One grandson Kaden Milbern of Amarillo.
