James Edward Hood 50, of Amarillo died Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in Amarillo. Services will be at 11:00 am Monday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Carolyn Gable officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. James was born in Stigler, OK. He moved to Amarillo in 1979. He worked at J. Lee Milligan as a heavy equipment field mechanic. James enjoyed rebuilding vehicles with his wife and riding Harley's. He was a great husband, son and brother. He was always telling jokes and making people happy. He married Eileen Davis on April 4, 1998 in Amarillo. He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen; his parents, Edith and Larry Polk of Amarillo; two sisters, Brandy Polk Hankins of Round Top and Deanna McGinnias of Dallas; two brothers, Dean Lovett of Amarillo and Wesley Barham of Dallas as well as many extended family and friends.
