James R. Snyder

James R. Snyder 75 of Amarillo, died Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 11:00 am Saturday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with chaplain Jason Huntington officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Snyder was born in Wichita, Kan. He married Mava Seck on December 26, 1960 in Wichita, Kan. The moved to Amarillo in 1967. Mr. Snyder was a co-owner of Display Concepts and Party Rentals since 1979. He was active in many organizations. He was a member of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce Business Connection, the Better Business Bureau, the American Rental Assoc., Texas Rental Assoc., and the Panhandle Area Rental Assoc. He was also a member of the Native American 806 Drum. He was also active in the Christmas Round-up and the Nights of Lights Christmas Parade. Survivors include his wife, Mava; 2 daughters, Alicia Quine and her husband David of Lubbock and Kara Snyder of Amarillo; 1 sister, Patty Casebeer of Lindsborg, Kan; 3 brothers, Bill Snyder of Las Vegas, Nev., Don Snyder of Wichita, Kan., and Marty Snyder of Kansas City, MO; 5 grandchildren, Heather Hilton, Britnee Hicks, Eathan Hicks, Zack Quine and Regan Quine and 2 great-grandchildren, Aidan and Paizlee Hilton. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be to the Parkinsons Research Foundation or a favorite charity.
