James A. Watts

A graveside service will be at 11:00 am Friday, July 29 at Claude Cemetery with the Rev. Jonathan Land officiating. Interment will be in Claude Cemetery with military honors rendered by the U.S. Army Fort Hood Honor Guard. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. James was born on July 24, 1933 to Vester Lee and Callie Pope Watts. He served in the United States Army from September 1953 to August 1961. He married Martha Brunson on December 13, 1956 in Clarendon. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Oleta Burns and Loradell Hatfield. Survivors include his wife, Martha; 2 daughters, Brenda Hendricks and husband Greg, and Amanda Watts; 2 grandsons, Brayton and Adrian, and numerous nieces and nephews.
