Jan Galvin

Jan Galvin 72, of Amarillo, died Saturday, July 13, 2019, in Amarillo. A family gathering will be from 6:30 to 8 pm Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Jan was born on June 9, 1947, in Ft. Worth. She worked as a telephone operator at Southwestern Bell Telephone. She retired after 38 years of dedicated service. She was a member of the Communication Workers of America Union, Telephone Pioneers of America and the Amarillo Crime Stoppers. After her retirement, Jan worked at the Amarillo Civic Center Box Office and Panhandle Tickets. She always greeted you with a smile and made many friends. She married David M. Galvin on May 24, 1977, in Las Vegas, NV. She is survived by her husband, David; one son Sean K. Galvin and his wife April H., of Amarillo and two grandchildren, Seanna M. and Ellieahnna. The family suggests memorial donations to the Old Corral Club, 1301 S. Taylor, Amarillo, TX 79101 or Maverick Boy's and Girl's Club 1923 S. Lincoln, Amarillo, TX 79109.
