JC Lancaster 87 of Amarillo died on Wednesday October 31, 2007 at Amarillo. Memorial Services will at 2:00 PM Monday November 5, 2007 in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Reverend Gene Lancaster officiating. Flag detail will be provided by DAV Chapter 26. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 South Osage St., Amarillo TX. Mr. Lancaster was a veteran of World War II and was in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a baker for about 67 years having worked at various bakeries such as Meads Bakery, Dunkin Doughnuts, and United. He also owned and operated his own bakery, and retired from Snow White Bakery. He was a baker that never baked at home. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He lived for his sons, and his hobby was his grandchildren. The family is so thankful for the wonderful staff of the Odyssey Hospice Unit for the loving care they provided our loved one. Mr. Lancaster is survived by his wife Lucy, of the home; three sons, Gary Lancaster of Amarillo; Terry Lancaster of Baltimore Maryland; and Bobby Lancaster and his wife Vickie of Amarilllo; a granddaughter, Ashley Lancaster of Amarillo; six grandsons, Cody Lancaster of New York, Zack Lancaster of Amarillo, Jeremy Lancaster of Amarillo, Benjie Lancaster of Amarillo; Kris Lancaster and his wife Karen of Charlston South Carolina, and Ken Puckett and his wife Lacy of Knoxville Tennessee; a sister Louella Hartman and her husband Cliff of Wellington; and a brother, Bob Lancaster and his wife Betty of Norwood Missouri. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, PO Box 1890, Amarillo TX 79174
