Jean Alward

Jean Alward, 75 of 6013 Harvard died Friday November 26, 2004. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at Kingswood United Methodist Church with Dr. Wylie E. ""Buff"" Hearn officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home. Mrs. Alward was born in Oklahoma to Frank and Mamie Lane. She was a homemaker and a member of the Kingswood United Methodist Church and the Altergate Sunday School class. She also volunteered as the church secretary and taught elementary Sunday school. Mrs. Alward had also worked as a volunteer at Northwest Texas Healthcare System. She married Willard ""Bud"" Alward, May 8, 1954 at Clovis. Survivors include: her husband of the home, 1 daughter; Gloria Hudspeth and her husband Harvey both of Odessa, 1 son; Mike Alward and his wife Cindy both of Dalhart, 1 brother; Bob Lane of Altus, 3 sisters; Wanda Litchford of Mineral Springs, Ark., Kay Glenn and Linda Huddleston both of Altus and 8 grandchildren, Blair Rush and Kristain Rush both of Austin, Jennifer Alward and Jason Alward both of Dalhart, Allison Ricketts and Zane Ricketts both of Canyon and Renee Ferrell and Shane Ferrell both of Amarillo. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Kingswood United Methodist Church or the Salvation Army.
