Jeff Nelson of Amarillo died Thurs. Sept. 26, 2019. Service will be at 2 pm Monday, Sept 30, 2019 at Amarillo Deaf Church with Darrel Bonjour, pastor officiating. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S Osage St. Jeff was born to George and Doris Nelson April 30, 1963 in Amarillo. He became a truck driver when he got out of school. He was all about his trucks. Jeff was a hard worker and very dependable. He was a good big brother. He taught his two younger brothers to be tough and how to turn wrenches. He was tender and protective of his sister. Jeff was outspoken and very opinionated but he had a big heart. Jeff married the love of his life, Becky. They were together for 27 years. Jeff met Becky when she asked him to dance. He was a good provider, good family man, and very supportive. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother Doris Branum. He is survived by his father George Nelson, his stepmother June, his son Christopher Nelson, a daughter, Sabrina Blevins, step son, Cody and his wife Cheyanne Waide, one sister, Susan Andrews and her husband Jay. Two brothers; Robert and his wife Wendi Nelson, and Mathew Nelson and Stephanie Andrews, two granddaughters, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
