Jeffrey 'Jeff' Wainright

Jeffrey "Jeff" Lynn Wainright, 66, of Amarillo died Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Funeral service is 2:00 pm Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel officiated by Karen Wells. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests for visitation Wednesday 5:30- 8 pm at the funeral home. Jeff was born in Shamrock on June 19, 1956, to Betty and J.C Wainright. He graduated from Caprock Highschool. He met the love of his life, Paula at the bowling alley. They got married on June 27, 1981. He loved her unconditionally. He was a loving husband and father. He was very Charismatic, never meeting a stranger. His personality just lit up the room. Jeff had a way to put a smile on anyones face. Jeff started working at Northwest Texas Hospital right out of high school in the kitchen. He moved up the chain to supply manager. He enjoyed softball, bowling and going out to the dirt track, and going to watch high school football. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Ranger fan. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, J.C Wainright, and his grandparents, the Bowermans. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Paula Wainright, two daughters, Krystal Wainright Ortiz and her husband Eddie, and Kathy Wainright, his mother, Betty Ruth Wainright, his sister, Kelly Duvack and her husband Bobby, his brother, Royce Wainright, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
