Jennie Albarado, 76, of Amarillo passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021. Funeral Service is 2:00 PM Monday, January 3, at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel officiated by James Griffin of Temple Baptist Church. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home 1-7 PM. Jennie was born August 2, 1945, in Oklahoma City, Ok. Her parents were Lucas and Juana Albarado. She was very fun, loving, and enjoyed spending time with her family. Jennie cherished her relationship with her friends, family, and God. She was a God-Fearing woman who was dedicated to serving the Lord. Her family was very important to her. Jennie was the glue that held the family together, always making sure they were united, structured, and disciplined. She was particularly ecstatic about her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. when it came to her family and faith, she was a warrior. Jennie was a very generous person. She was always willing to help, even when she didnt have it. She always found a way. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and had a fun sense of humor. Jennie lived every day like it was her last and enjoyed every moment. Jennie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her two daughters; Yolanda Romero, Cynthia Rodriguez, and her husband Raul, three sons; Jose Romero and his wife Noelia, Julian Cortez Jr. and Julio Cortez, 14 grandchildren,3 of which she raised; Julian Cortez III, Emory Cortez, and Reina Cortez, 5 great-grandchildren, and two brothers; Jessie Gallegos and Greg Guzman.
