Jerry Passons

Jerry Passons, 85, of Amarillo passed away Friday, June 2, 2023. No services are scheduled. Arrangement and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Jerry was born in Waurika, Ok. on December 4, 1937, to William and Vivian Musgraves. She graduated from Borger High School then married the love of her life, Major William Passons in 1956. Major preceded her in 2020. Jerry was selfless always looking out for others. She would take care of her mother, her husband and her son in a time of despair. She enjoyed yard work and tending to her flowers and her garden. She grew nice juicy tomatoes, okra, and squash. Jerry was always looking after her neighbors yards as well. If they left for vacation, she made sure to water or mow their yards. Jerry was inspired by her brother and daughter falling in love with antiques. She would buy, sell or collect antiques. She was a dealer on 6th St. off and on for 40 years. Jerry was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Michael Passons, two sisters, Joyce Park and her husband Lonnie, and Wynelle Jackson, Nephew, Danny Ray and great niece, Amber. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Melissa Ibison, son Brad Passons, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one sister, Sharon wells and husband Dennis, brother, Bill Musgraves and wife Melanie with many nieces and nephews.
