Jesse Clarence ""JC"" Henry 85, of Amarillo died Sunday, March 18, 2012 in Amarillo Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the First Foursquare Church, Living Way Fellowship 2500 S. Eastern, with Rick Meyer, pastor officiating. Military honors will be by the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #26. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Henry was born in Klondike. He served in the Army during WWII with the 56th Air Engineer Squadron. He received the Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon, Philippine Liberation Ribbon and 2 Overseas Bars. He was honorably discharged in 1946. After his military service, Mr. Henry worked as a salesman for Tom's Peanuts and Candies. He retired after more than 20 years of service. After his retirement, he worked in the maintenance department at the Canyon's Retirement Center. Mr. Henry was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a long time member of the First Foursquare Church. He served as the Sunday School Superintendent and song leader. He was very active in missions, volunteering at Faith City Ministries and Prison Ministries. He married the love of his life, Juanita Albert on December 24, 1954. He is survived by his wife; 2 daughters, Diane Price of Amarillo and Marian Lowe and her husband Jeff of Owasso, OK; 1 son Floyd Henry of Amarillo; 1 brother, Billy Frank Henry of Clovis, NM; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the First Foursquare Church, 2500 S. Eastern Amarillo, Texas 79104. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM Monday at the funeral home.
