Jesus Reyes

Jesus Reyes, 54, of Amarillo passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023. Mass of a Christian Burial is 2:00 pm Friday at St. Laurence Catholic Church. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests for visitation from 5-7 pm Wednesday and Rosary is 6 pm at the funeral home. Jesus was born in Durango, Mexico on June 11, 1969, to Abundo Reyes and Emilia Mendez. Jesus was just a genuine person. He never refused an opportunity to help anyone in need. No job was too small. He always had his phone playing music. All hours of the day. Jesus was a leader. When he was at work, he would give the guys pep talks and cheer them on. Jesus had a huge heart. He always went out of his way to cheer you up. He was full of life and was a happy-go-lucky person. His sense of humor was incredible, and he always had the best jokes and was a total goofball. Jesus was a very supportive father, who feared nothing. He always encouraged the best from his family. He was a proud grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. Jesus could fix anything. He never wanted to throw anything out, saying "We will fix it somehow." Jesus was preceded in death by his father. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rocia Reyes, his two daughters: Alejandro Cooper and her husband Anthony, and Esmerelda Reyes, one son, Jesus Ivan Reyes and his significant other Lauren Need, 6 grandchildren, four sisters: Linda, Tere, Matilde and Petra Reyes, and two brothers: Lois and Juan Reyes.
