Jewell Edwards 92 of Amarillo died Friday January 11, 2008 at Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at Llano Cemetery with Michael Pinkston, associate pastor of the Church at Quail Creek officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Edwards was born in Paris, TX. She lived in Amarillo most of her life. During WII, Mrs. Edwards was employed by Pantex as a welder. After the war, she worked at the Avalon Ballroom as a waitress for many years. She also worked as an Avon representative for more than 20 years. She married Carmen ""Curley"" Edwards in 1939 at Amarillo. He died in 1964. Survivors include: her daughter; Sandra Yarbrough and her husband Jim of Amarillo, 2 sisters; Janice Wilson of Shawnee, OK and Ruby James of Shamrock, 1 brother; J.C. Chandler of Amarillo, 2 grandchildren; Delilah Bellar and her husband Donnie of Amarillo and Debbie Campbell of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 3 great-grandchildren; Brandon Bellar and Marcus Bellar, both of Amarillo and Miranda Campbell of Nashville, TN.
