Jimmie JA Rickman 80, of Amarillo died Monday May 13, 2014 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Bob Miller of Crossroad Country Church officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Military Honors will be by Vollies for Veterans. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Jimmie was born on November 27, 1933 in Kendrick, MS to Alonzo and Mary Rickman, he worked at Pantex then enlisted in the Army where he served in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1955. Jimmie then went back to Pantex and worked as a machinist for 44 years. He served as a Union Leader at Pantex for several years. Jimmie was an avid outdoors man, he loved going to the Mountains. Jimmie married Lovera Luetkahans in 1953. She preceded him in death in 1983. Jimmie married Bert Jacks on October 24, 1986 in Amarillo He is also preceded in death by a grandson, Shawn Andrews, in 2001. He is survived by his Wife, 4 daughters, Janet Andrews of Amarillo, Diane Smith of Fort Worth, Sonya Cash of Hereford, and Barbara Alexander of Ada, MI; his sister, Nema Redding and her husband Tony of Cypress; 8 grandchildren, Amaris, Sheena, Tara, Dane, Matthew, Nathan, Sarah, and Hannah, and 9 Great- grandchildren.
