Joann Berner

JoAnn Berner, 63, of Amarillo died Sunday January 30, 2005 in Amarillo. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, at Rector Funeral Home, Osage Chapel, with Rev. Calvin Newton of First Assembly of God in Borger officiating. Burial will be at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mrs. Berner was born in Hobart, Oklahoma. She moved to Amarillo in 1997 from Pampa. She worked as a social worker for TPMHA for many years, retiring in 2001. She was a member of Polk St. United Methodist Church. She married Ralph Berner in 1970. He preceded her in death in 2002. Survivors include 1 son, Jackie Brown of Amarillo; 1 sister, Sheila Berner of Claremore, OK; 1 brother, Tommy Montgomery of Claremore, OK; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter.
