Joaquin 'Kenny' Puentes

Joaquin "Kenny" Puentes 57 of Amarillo died Friday, April 28, 2017 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Shane Chadwick officiating. Private family burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Kenny was born on July 29, 1959 in Hereford to Joaquin and Rita Puentes. Kenny always had a joke for his family and friends. He never met a stranger. He was an avid Caprock Longhorns supporter. Kenny loved his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by two daughters, Deedra Pacheco and her husband Paul of Amarillo and Ebony Garcia of Lubbock; three sons, Michael Puentes, Gabriel Puentes and Ricky Lee Yanez all of Lubbock; two sisters, Irma Clark and Norma Weatherholt and her husband Dennis all of Amarillo; one brother, Manuel Puentes and his wife Yolanda of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Thomas and Miliyah Pacheco and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
