Joe Rodriguez, 46 of Amarillo died Friday May 30, 2008 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements were by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Rodriguez was born in Lamesa. He lived in Vega, Hereford and Canyon. He moved to Amarillo from Coweta, OK. Mr. Rodriguez worked as a painter for many years. He attended St. Laurence Cathedral. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was always smiling and joking. He was preceded in death by his father, Gavino Rodriguez, Sr. a brother, Gavino Rodriguez, Jr., a sister, Nora Rodriguez and 2 nephews, Jordan Davis and Michael K. Davis Survivors include his daughter, Jaymi S. Rodriguez of Oklahoma; his mother and step-father, Rosie and Wayne Cates of Amarillo; 3 sisters, Dora Herrera and Linda Davis and her husband James all of Amarillo and Virginia Luevano of Tulsa; 2 brothers, Johnny Rodriguez and Larry Rodriguez both of Amarillo and a granddaughter Azalyn Rodriguez-Hinkle.
