John Steven Brandon

John Steven Brandon 71, of Amarillo died Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 10:00 am Monday, June 11, 2018 at Dreamland Cemetery with MSgt Armando Tijerina UMSC and Don Spence, SMRD, USN officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the Volleys for Veterans and the Patriot Guard. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. 1st Lieutenant John Brandon was born on November 8, 1946 in Canyon. He graduated with a BS from West Texas A&M University. He was active in the ROTC program at WT. John joined the Army in 1969 and served in the Vietnam War. He was discharged in 1971. John was very active with the Volleys for Veterans and was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, the American Legion Hanson Post 54 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 430. He served the United States with honor. John is survived by his family and many loving friends.
