John Brigman, 67, of Amarillo died Saturday, October 10, 2020. The family will host a private memorial service at 18400 Grasslands Rd. Amarillo, Tx 79124, Bushland. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. John was born in Amarillo on December 15, 1952, to Patricia and Frances Brigman. He was known around his house as the gentle giant. His family meant the world to him. The amount of love he had was immeasurable. John met the love of his life, Debbie, at the Southeast swimming pool. They married June 8, 1973, sharing 47 years. He enjoyed singing, dancing and was very artistic. John was incredibly intelligent. He would draft up very detailed blueprints then start construction on his project. His ability to craft and design was incredible. John opened his shop, Fat Daddy Performance in 2002 where they built numerous muscle cars and high-performance vehicles. His reputation and abilities would later be published in many magazines. He was also a very competitive man. He built a 93 Mustang and had to keep upgrading bigger, better, and of course faster. Out of all of the accomplishments and achievements he received throughout the years, there was no greater reward than knowing he was the hero to his two sons, Jeremiah and Justin. John was preceded in death by his parents, He is survived by his wife, Debbie Brigman, two sons; Jeremiah Brigman and his wife Kami, and Justin Brigman and his wife Jamie, his sister; Janet Whitfield, niece, and nephew; Mindy and kirk, and seven grandchildren.
