John Henry Jones

John Henry Jones, 76, of Amarillo died February 1, 2022, in Amarillo, Texas. No services are scheduled. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. He was born in Mercer County Pennsylvania to Charles Edward and Florence May Bentley Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sisters; Edna Jones Young, Anna Jones, brothers; Edward and George Jones. He is survived by 3 sisters; Elaine, Shirley, and Donna Jones of Sharon, Pennsylvania, 4 nieces; Jeannie Hennig of wheeler, Texas; Barbara Burhenn of Tyrone, Oklahoma; Dianna Cline of Sunray, Texas; Linda Miller of Floresville, Texas, and one nephew, Richard Young of Shepard, Texas. He lived in Sharon Pennsylvania until 1973, then moved to Pampa, Texas where he worked for Texas Pipe and Metal and Allen's Office. He then moved to Amarillo in 2001 where he lived until he died. He was an avid reader of western books and loved to fish. He loved to collect model airplanes and hot wheel cars. Direct Cremation Thursday, February 03, 2022
