Jose G. Flores

Jose G. Flores 69, of Amarillo died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021 in Amarillo. Services will be at 11 am Saturday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Chuck Neal, associate pastor of Chaparral Hills Baptist Church officiating. Mr. Flores was born on Sept. 16, 1952 in Victoria to Antonio C. and Victoria (Garcia) Flores. He lived in Victoria, Dimmitt and Amarillo. He worked for Lone Star Construction for more than 20 years. Mr. Flores was a single dad and raised 4 children. He was a very hard worker and an excellent father and Grandpa. Jose loved his family and was always making people laugh. He was the life of the party. Jose had a big heart and enjoyed cooking out, drinking beer and dancing. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He was preceded in death by Frank Flores, Sam Flores, Albert Flores and Basilio Flores. He is survived by two sons; Christopher Lee Flores and his wife Laura Lee and Anthony Flores and his wife Georgeanna; his daughter Elizabeth Zepeda and her husband Josh; his step-daughter Leticia Rodriguez and her husband Hiram; eight grandchildren, Jay, Ali, Andrew, Ventus, Violet, Noah, Isabella and Ethan; two great grandchildren Raelynn and Ryker; five brothers, Antonio, Rudy, James, Johnny and Joe Lee; and three sisters and Elvira, Victoria, Emilia.
