Joseph Floyd Baca

Joseph Floyd Baca 58, of Amarillo, passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 pm Friday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Pastor Kyle Wilkinson, director of pastoral care at Trinity Fellowship Christian Church officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Joseph was born in Amarillo on Oct. 5, 1963 to Florentino and Patricia "Patsy" (Montoya) Baca. He worked as a truck driver for Amarillo Globe news for several years before working for Amarillo Independent School District and Trinity Fellowship Church. Joseph was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. He was very talented and could repair almost anything. He is survived by his companion of more than 20 years, Ida Villarreal; four daughters, Angela Alfaro and husband Jesus Alfaro, Roxanne Taylor, Nora Soria, and Nicole Soria; five sisters, Susan Chavez, Jayne Stewart, Jessica and husband Robert,Chavez, Claudina Garcia and, Nancy Stone and her husband Jim, one brother Carlos Baca, his father Florentino Baca; three grandchildren, Jesus Giovanni Alfaro Azalea Rose Alfaro, Elijah Joseph Alfaro and one on the way. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 pm Thursday at the funeral home. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of NWTH MICU for the love, care and support they provided to Mr. Baca and his family.
