Joyce Anne Mcintire

Joyce Anne McIntire 82, of Amarillo died Friday, July 29, 2022 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 1 pm Monday at Mobeetie Cemetery in Mobeetie with Lynn Rector officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Joyce was born on October 29, 1939 in Mobeetie to Vernon and Pauline (Johnson) Hooker. She graduated from Mobeetie High School in 1958. After graduation, Joyce moved to Amarillo where she worked at several different banks as a clerk. Joyce was a loving sister and aunt. She loved helping others and was always ready to give advice. She married Jack McIntire on Nov. 22, 1968. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mearlene Hooker Scott in 2012 and her husband in 2018. She is survived by 4 sisters, Sue Harrison and her husband Gene and Inez Moore all of Mobeetie, Ellen Moore of Tucson, AZ and Peggy Shelton of Perryton. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews and friends. The family suggest memorial donations to the Mobeetie Cemetery Association c/o of Happy State Bank of Mobeetie or a favorite charity.
