JR Ferril, 43 of Amarillo died Wednesday March 30, 2005 at his home. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at First Assembly of God, 6101 S. Bell, with Jerad Middaugh, pastor of Southlawn Assembly of God officiating. Interment will be at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Ferril was born in Shamrock. He lived in Amarillo all of his life. He graduated from River Road High School in 1979. He worked with his family's business, T-Miller Wrecker Service for more than 40 years. Mr. Ferril married Jeni Fain in 1979 at Amarillo. He loved auto racing, golf and hockey. He was a member of the board of directors for the Texas Towing and Storage Association. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Ferril in 2004 and by 2 brothers. Surviors include his wife of the home, 1 daughter; Megan Ferril of Amarillo, 1 son; David Ferril of Amarillo, his father; Lonnie Ferril of Amarillo, 1 brother; Byron Ferril and his wife LaVerna of Amarillo, 8 nieces, 1 nephew, 1 adopted grandson; Jaykob Hill and 1 grandson on the way. He is also survived by many racing buddies and dear friends. The family requests memorial donations to the Amarillo Crime Stoppers.
