J.T. Trammell, 88, of Borger, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021. Graveside services will be held at 1pm Tuesday, July 13, 2021 in Llano East Cemetery with burial rites rendered by the Elks Lodge #1581 of Borger. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to Interim Hospice. J.T. was born March 6, 1933 in Dexter, Texas to Joseph Thomas Trammell and Estelle Maner Trammell. He married Rachel L. Chasteen on July 13, 1979 in Amarillo. J.T. worked for Louies Tire Shop, owned two gas stations in Borger through the years, and also worked for the Canadian River Municipal Water Authority, where he retired from. He enjoyed watching westerns on television. Nothing brought more joy to his life than being with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Estelle Trammell; wife, Rachel Trammell; son, Thomas Trammell; brothers, Albert, Babe, Mann, Monk, Bobby; and sister, Frances "Sis". Mr. Trammell is survived by son, Rick Trammell and his wife Sherill of Fritch; daughter in law, Laurie Abeln of Borger; two grandsons, Matt Trammell of Fritch, T.J. Trammell and wife Emma of Borger; two great-grandchildren, JR and Levi; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
