Juan F. Rodriguez, 73, of Amarillo died Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Service is 11:00 am Monday, January 19th at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests Sunday 12:30-5:00 p.m. at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. The funeral will be live-streamed on the Rector Funeral Home Facebook Page. Juan was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico May 30, 1947, to Josefa and Juan Rodriguez Sr. His family moved to America when he was five-years-old. He was drafted into the army during the Vietnam War and was a drill instructor. Juan was a humble man who didnt mind going without to make sure the people he loved didnt have to do without. He was a kind and caring person, and had an outstanding work ethic. He retired from Cenex Harvest States Inc. after 30 years. He met his spouse, Vickie, through friends and they spent 18 years together. Juan was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Theresa Garcia, and two brothers, Hector and Arturo Rodriguez. He is survived by his spouse, Vickie Ryder, his son Carlos Rodriguez and wife Christal, his daughter Francella Rodriguez-Cervantes and her husband Anthony, one granddaughter, Savianna Cervantes, and three grandsons, Trever Perez, Kyas Rodriguez, and Brycen.
