Juan Eduardo Rodriguez, known affectionately as "El Moruso," was born on April 5, 1969, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He passed away on October 24, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas, where he had made his home for many years.
A dedicated business owner, Juan ran a successful auto body and paint shop for 20 years, earning the respect and admiration of his clients and peers. He was known for his hard work and commitment to excellence, qualities that were reflected in every project he undertook. His life was guided by a few cherished sayings: "Hay que seguir adelante, no nos queda de otra," which means "We must move forward; there is no other choice," and "Nacimos pobre, pero guapos," translating to "We were born poor, but handsome." His humor and spirit were encapsulated in his favorite phrase, "Que Pacho," as he greeted you over the phone.
Juan was a loving father and is survived by his children, Brian, Marlon, Brandon, Alicia, and Mia. He also adored his granddaughters, Jakyah and Ellie, who brought immense joy to his life. He shared a special bond with his ex-spouse, Xochitl Rodriguez Hernandez.
In addition to his immediate family, Juan joins his father Ruben Rodriguez and mother Ester Perez de Rodriguez and leaves behind his brothers, Ruben, Alejandro Verver Mendoza, and Oscar Rodriguez. He was known for his friendly, kind, and thoughtful nature, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. His friends and family remember him as a hardworking, funny, and smart individual who touched the lives of many.
Juan's legacy is one of compassion and generosity; he believed in helping anyone, regardless of their background. If he was unable to assist personally, he made it a point to find someone who could. His impact on the community was profound, as he dedicated himself to ensuring others were taken care of.
His spirit and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
