Juana Campos Valverde

Juana Campos Valverde 76, of Amarillo died Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, March 6, 2017 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Terry Callis, chaplain officiating. Interment will follow at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Juana was born on January 27, 1941 in Terlingua to Jose and Rosalia Campos. She moved to Amarillo from Fort Stockton. Juana was an excellent wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was always happy and laughing. She was given the nickname "Giggles" by her family. She was always caring for her family and loved them deeply. Juana enjoyed singing, making crafts and playing Bingo. She married Francisco Urias on August 6, 1955 in Pecos. He preceded her in death in 1994. She was also preceded in death by her son, Joe Campos Urias in 2011. Juana is survived by her daughter Armida Zubia of Amarillo; one sister, Leonarda Sanchez of Dallas; one brother, Felipe Campos of Fort Stockton; seven grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Viewing will be from 2:30 to 8:00 Saturday, March 4, 2017 and from 12:30 to 7:00 on Sunday.
